Wie Negative einer Wirklichkeit, deren ästhetischer Maßstab heute oft genug pervertiert und karikiert wird, bilden die Arbeiten des Amerikaners Gregory Bleck einen Gegenpol zu Oberflächlichkeit und Uniformität. Der Künstler ist bemüht, der simplen Nacktheit Wahrheiten nicht nur erotischer Natur abzuringen und diese in seinen reizvollen Aufnahmen in eine nachvollziehbare Bildsprache zu übersetzen. Seine Modelle sind in sehr sinnlichen, aber zurückhaltenden Posen fotografiert, deren Scheu und Schamhaftigkeit jedoch die pure Schönheit an sich zu unterstreichen vermögen.

Gregory Bleck is the owner of Gregory's
Photographic Arts. A wedding photography studio in Madison,
Wisconsin USA. Gregory has won many awards for his wedding
imagery including the Kodak Gallery Award and the Fuji Masterpiece
Award. He has been selected as the Photographer Of The Year by
the Wisconsin Professional Photographers Association and has exhibited
at the LVM museum of fine art in Madison and at Epcot Center at Walt
Disney World in Orlando Florida among others. He holds the
degree of Master of Photography from the Professional Photographers Of
America.
His fine art work includes nudes and
urban and rural landscapes as well as documentary street photography.
He works in several alternative processes including bromoil, Polaroid
transfer and SX70 image manipulation. Images are created
with both film and digital technology in his state of the art
digital printing department as well as a traditional dark room.
