Torment of Subconscious

In this, the latest series of work from otto phökuz, the artist deals with his subconscious demons.
The series, in no way complete among these 15 images, attempts to describe, in a very loose way, the inner thoughts and workings of a suppressed subconscious.
With a very religious background combined with the repression it fosters this makes for some upsetting and unusual views of women and the representation of their effect on his psyche.
otto phökuz takes us through his subconscious looking at both the good and the bad; the black and the white; the spirit world and the underworld. It all lives here: his desires, his fetishes, his dreams, his twisted humor, and most of all his fantasies. 
The photos represent the work that has taken place over the last four to five years, much of it done in the last year. This is the culmination of impatience with the world around him and his own impatience with himself. 
He was ready to scream and scream is what he does.

There is another side to otto. He specializes in portraiture of both people and pets. And has finished a series on Italy.
